Recently told am type 2, am on oral meds. Blood glucose reading has dropped from 10 to 2.9 since eating. Should I be worried?

You're having a hypo, eat or drink something that's fast acting glucose, if you have coke, lemonade, pepsi or whatever, drink a small glass of it, wait for 5-10mins, then test again, your bg should be over 4.0, then eat a biscuit or something that has around 12g of carbs :)

Thank you Deanna . Haven't had any instruction on all this yet. Reading has now gone up to 8.8 after orange juice and a digestive.hope that was what I was supposed to do. No coke etc in house as just recovering from chemo and had to avoid too many sweet things! Thanks again

If your bg levels goes below 4.0 it is classed as a hypo, did you feel any symptoms? such as trembling, confusion or eyes going funny, if so these will come along with a low bg level.

That is exactly what you're supposed to do! :D, orange juice works perfect :). Ahh sorry to hear about that! :/ hope all is ok.

You're welcome :D
