2 Libre sensors at same time

Just at end of the 14day period and changing from.a libre to libre 2 sensor is it possible to run sensors in parallel for a few hours to compare the readings from 1 unit to another?

Only if you use different phones for the different sensors, or a phone and a reader.
Starting a new sensor ends the old one if using the same device.

Even if you could, I doubt you would learn anything of any use.
I've no experience of the sensors but it seems to me that it would be the same as using 2 finger prick monitors on the same drop of blood.
With an accuracy of +/-15% for each monitor it would just be luck if they both showed the same result, your actual level would be somewhere in that 30% range but which result was the most accurate would be impossible to say.
I doubt that the sensors are any more accurate than the glucose monitors, you would be trying to compare one not that accurate result with another.

In my experience (mostly dexcom) sensors are often quite inaccurate for the first 12/24 hours so that inserting a new one early so as to warm up before use can be a good idea.

I wonder what LibreView would do if it was receiving readings from two sensors at the same time?
I think you would probably have to have two accounts as well as two sensors and two readers.

I would insert the new sensor and not start it.
As others have said, the first 24 hours or so of a new sensor are inaccurate due to “insertion trauma” - yoir body getting used to an alien object in your arm.
This is why it is common to insert a new sensor a day or two before activating it.

Decided against doing anything complicated so just swapped over. The new unit is a freestyle 2 but does not ssem to be updating automatically and I have to keep scanning… do I have to do something going from old unit too the V2? when I activated it it recognised it and got message that it would update every minute….
