Pump
So 2 months on smart guard, on the whole very pleased yes I have had all the normal problems lows a few highs some I have to say my fault but I quickly learned to let the pump do it's thing my nights are great I can sleep all night without looking ok I do sometimes still look but I don't feel I need to, I have had infusion set problems for years where it takes a little while for the insulin to start working so the 7 day infusion sets help. So my only advice is let the pump do it's thing although I know a lot of us who have been on the 640 like to fiddle with it but the 780 is a whole new and better pump I tend to now leave it to do it's thing

Wow! That’s great news! I’m working on a few details with my insurance before I order my upgrade from 670G. May I ask how you handle exercise and alcohol? I stay in auto mode and go into Temp Target when I exercise, plus eat some carbs, so I won’t go low, however when I drink alcohol I have to take greater measures like turn on temp target and hour in advance, eat 30 carbs, then Suspend Delivery, just for one glass of wine. I’m wondering how I’ll address this with 780G.

I only normally drink 1 or 2 glasses of wine so I don't find it affects me if it does lower my bs I find my pumps Basel rate will adjust for this, so sorry not a problem for me, however a apple tart will after 3 hours raise my bs so I take about 75 percent before the meal and the other 25 percent after 3 hours which seems to work for me

I see. I’m not sure why it affects me that way. Even hours later, my BG will run low, despite eating carbs. I just have to be aware and monitor it,
