Well Blackpool's new manager (Jose Riga, late of Charlton) has come out of the woodwork, spoken to the press, and told Karl Oyston (Chairman) to do his job properly. It needed saying. Riga can't manage a football team with the few players we have, not even enough senior players to fill the subs bench, and most of them on loan only. It also seems we haven't got a fitness coach. It's a poor do.
It's not right, the fans who pay their hard earned money every week deserve better. I read that players were being signed on Saturday morning which is ridiculous
Yes, they were signed on the Saturday morning but couldn't play as the paper work mysteriously vanished. There were just 7 or 8 senior players pre-season, meaning not enough to play the arranged friendlies, so they were cancelled, as was the training session in Spain. There wasn't a goal keeper of any description until just before the first match. So no pre-season warm ups, none of them played together as a team before, and poor Riga tearing his hair out because Karl Oyston won't give reasonable and fair contracts, refuses to pay their agents any signing fees, and refuses to pay any player more than £90 a week between seasons. Meanwhile, Oyston is on holiday in Miami. Great time to go. Not.
What a carry on eh.But what brought all that on in the first place ? I know they had a diabolical season just like us last season and they nearly went down.
It's been coming for several seasons. The Oyston family has just got greedier and greedier. Our long standing goal keeper, who was voted player of the year last season, was out of contract. He was offered a new one year contract at 60% less money. Not only that, but it was by text. He walked away and who can blame him. Similar things happened to our other out of contract players, and why were there so many out of contract? Because he only offers one year deals with a club option to keep them a further year. That's no way to invest long term in a team.
I should add that the club has plenty of money, but most of it is in the Chairman's bank account.
Its no good having all that money and not being able to spend it is it.
Heres a shock it seems Sheff utd are keen to take that Ched Evans back after he was jailed for rape and his time has been halved and he will be out by september. They must be bloody desparate is all i can say but the fans want him back too

Another one on a short contract and maybe extended in a years time.
Yep, and he's 30 and comes from a lower division club, but hey ho, we shall see. All our players are on one year contracts with a club option to offer another year, or at least all the new ones are. We play rivals Blackburn Rovers tomorrow.
Any predictions for tomorrow?
Palace to get battered for some reason!
Everton to draw at Leicester! Hate Leicester!
Utd to sneak win!
Hull and stoke to win.
And oh yeah! Spurs to win comfortably by about 3 goals
And in the Championship Leeds to get hammered and Huddersfield to win and Sheff weds to loose.
Blackpool v Rovers? Or daren't you say?
And oh yeah! Spurs to win comfortably by about 3 goals
Tranmere to get beaten so heavily that they get immediately relegated!
Wins for Utd, Everton, QPR, Sunderland and Arsenal, draws for Stoke/Villa and West Ham/Spuds
