2014/15 Football Season

The cost of football is beyond most now. The elitist attitude of the FA and the top premier clubs is beyond the pocket of the social class it came from.

Played well tonight. We frightened psycho. Instead of the other way around. Can we play that well in the bread and butter league 2 games against the likes of accrington Stanley, Northampton and Hartlepool?
 
Well i was well impressed last night.We came from 2-0 down to win 3-5 after extra time.When it went to 2-0 i thought we were out but then it went 2-1 i thought well heres a chance to get back in it. and 3-1 with 5 mins left to play i really did think it was all over.But we somehow pulled it back to 3-2 and 3-3 and in to extra time we went.That kinda cancels last Saturdays 0-4 thumping out a bit.Shows what a difference sacking the manager can do lol.UTT
 


Well Accrington gave our scummy neighbours a bit of a fright they almost pulled it back to go to extra time.What a shame i was rooting for em to kill Leeds off lol.

Bad luck on your team being knocked out Nosher there were a few shock results last night and we nearly joined the likes of Blackburn rovers and Ipswich but hey ho we held our cool and here comes round 2

I can see that you and I could possibly have a falling out at sometime in the future! Still we won a game with Dave Hockaday as manager, miracles do happen.

Hardly likely mate its all just banter every team in the country im sure have a team that they dont like.Man city prob dont like Man utd and vice versa Sheff Weds hate Sheff Utd theres a lot of rivalry in the game.

yes.......and often there's more than one team they don't like too....................
 
Ok so why are teams such as Bournemouth and Leeds utd classed as Seeded teams for the 2nd round draw of the league cup tonight ? And if Coventry beat Cardiff tonight Sheff weds will be unseeded.Heavens above thats bloody crazy.I dont think they should so that.Just shove all the numbers in a bag and draw em out home and away teams like they do in the fa cup.It seems unfair that seeded teams are not gunna be drawn to play each other EG Leeds Utd wont get drawn against Man utd.Leyton Orient boss Russel Slade thinks Extra time in the league cup should be scrapped and i think maybe hes right it should be like the fa cup where if the match is drawn at the end of 90 mins replay it the week after and then bring in extra time if needed.The paint pot trophy is even worse if theres a draw after 90 mins in that thing it goes straight to the Penalty shootout.Oh man that is sooooo cruel.At least we championship teams dont get to play in it nowadays.
 

That's because Man U are scared of Leeds! When we knocked them out of the FA Cup in 2010 I was ill with atrial fibrillation, meaning my heartbeat was way too fast and irregular. After Beckford had scored my son listened to my heart beat and said it was beating to the tune of 'Marching on Together' almost perfectly, just one beat missing at the end. Happy Days.

I agree with you though. I don't believe there should be seeding and I do prefer the replay system as used in the FA Cup. Again though, not doing replays favours the big clubs. The smaller clubs would love replays to get more money, the big ones don't want to waste their energy on extra games. Football has never been 'fair' and I don't believe it ever will be. Money talks.

There you go....a Leeds fan and a Huddersfield fan actually agreeing about something That's the 2nd miracle in 2 days!
 
Nobody's scared of Leeds lol send em our way we relish playing and beating em lol

Football isnt a game anymore its a money making racket these days.

Embarrassment at the result eh ? hmmmm well i think we have beaten you enough times in the past

Thinking of it if we did draw you in the cup that would mean playing you at least 3 times in the season and perish the thought if we unluckily drew you in the fa cup well that doesnt bear thinking about

No. OK confession time. I'm one of those southerners who 'support' Leeds. (yeh I know) Well I've loved Leeds Utd since the 70's, but it's not the team I watch the most. That's Arsenal, I go with my family. Hockaday 'managed' Forest Green Rovers, our local team and frankly I could have done a better job. We were all glad to see him go.......then suddenly the nightmare returns for me.......family have got rid of him, but I haven't!

I've decided that my championship team is going to be Leeds! I remember Norman Hunter and Trevor Cherry etc etc.

I think the 'dirty Leeds' tag is a recent event. Me and you against the rest @zand
 

I think this is the point where 'Stuart Pearce' becomes 'Psycho', just look at his face!!!!
