2015/16 Football Season

To be honest, I'm enjoying the conference more than league two!
It could be that we are doing better but I think it is the competitive nature of this level, there are definitely better players and it is very demanding on players and fans.

But I wouldn't wish it on any club, it is so difficult, says, every other club in this league, to get out and back in the football league. But it is good this level! There are so many clubs that want to get promoted. All the way Down to seventeenth are in with a shout!
Totally agree with all of your post. There's some good football played in the conference. :)

I know when we played in the conf everyone was out to beat us including Canvey Island and Leigh RMI no games in the conf are easy

Liverpool at Anfield tomorrow

I suppose we have a couple of advantages:

  1. Half the Liverpool team were poached from Saints, so quite a few of our squad are familiar with their failings and weaknesses, and
  2. Klippety Klopp has only been in post for a few days, so hopefully hasn't had time to make his presence felt yet.
If we can thrash Chelski at Stamford Bridge, this should be a walk in the park - but I bet it's not. :(

Good luck for your teams this weekend

We are away to Wycombe so will listen to match on Radio Cumbria

Down to 10 men in the first half but go 1 up 5 mins into the 2nd half it sounds like a right rough n tumble kind of game on Radio Cumbria

We lost 1-2 :( We battled back to a 1-1 draw but they got the better of us and won. Leeds drew yet again and it was a penalty that did it for them just like Wednesday night. Been a bad weekend for Yorkshire clubs only Sheff utd won.
Chelsea lost and what a performance they had a man sent off there was a lot of controvesy over that one.

Conceded in the 90th minute to draw 1-1 can't grumble had 10 men for 2 thirds of the match

Tim Sherwood: Aston Villa are in a hole, says manager
Aston Villa are "in a hole" after their sixth straight Premier League defeat, according to manager Tim Sherwood.

The 2-1 home loss to Swansea. sees Villa, who have not won since the opening day of the season, remain second-bottom of the table, four points from safety.

"No, it's out of my control," added Sherwood.

"I can only control what I can control, and on Monday I'll be working as hard I've done since I came to this club."

Sherwood joked he will avoid a call from the board if it wants to sack him.

"I'll just turn my phone off," he said.

He took them to the FA cup final. I know it's a results business but he did well at Spurs and IMO needed more time at Villa which is a mess and a mess can't be turned round without some time being given. If Villa were still in a mess after Christmas then fair enough act then
