2017/2018 Football Season

Just put the game on at 76 mins, Slovakia are pushing hard for an equaliser but hope England can keep the score at 2-1.
 
I see that John Motson will be retiring at the end of this season. Like him or loathe him, it won't be quite the same without Motty around.

I might be wrong but I think his first MOTD commentary was at Stamford Bridge Chelsea v Carlisle United 74/75 season in the first division

Carlisle won that match 2-0
We then beat Spurs and Middlesbrough in the next 2 matches to sit on top of the entire Football League

Motson is a good commentator

Watford at St Mary's. Tricky one: if we win, everyone will say 'so they should'. If we lose (which is entirely possible) everyone will hurl abuse at us. Including me...
