2017/2018 Football Season

Away to Barrow tomorrow.
Putting at least ten layers of clothing for the game, there is supposed to be an arctic blast in the morning and the wind chill factor is in the freezer!
But that is what I'm used to at the moment!

Winter is dragging on, sick and tired of being damp!

Need to get back to winning ways and smash this division up!

Good luck to all our teams, think we need the footie gods to smile on us!!
 
Off we go again with another footy day. We are away at the Rebok for our cup tie with Bolton. Hopefully they'll beat us and we can concentrate on the league which is where it matters.

Yeah we won as well and I suppose for us both a date in the 4th round which will no doubt interfere with the league calendar.

I see Carlisle have a replay

A draw for Tranmere a good result seeing as they were losing at one point.
 
Went to FGR v Port Vale today ( 1-0). It was an entertaining game and I'm glad I went. The 4 new signings ( the 5th didn't play) played so well. Well worth getting freezing cold for. Let's hope tomorrow's trip to Nottingham is just as pleasurable...

1-1 draw away, I would usually be quite happy with that but we are back to missing chances to claim three points.
Could and should have won today.

Ah well, glad to be back in the warm, bloody lovely sunny day in Cumbria and the views magnificent but that really Baltic wind, had me shivering despite the layers I had on!

Next game on our travels, down sarf to Woking! Oh joy!

Stoke parted company with Mark Hughes yesterday after they were beaten by Coventry. You could say they didn't need to send him to Coventry cos he was already there :D:D:D
I wonder when Swansea will show their manager the red card cos it looks like they are going down to the Championship short of a miracle. I wonder who the other 2 will be that will join em. Hope we aren't one of em. The way things are going its gunna be a close one as to who else drops. :eek::watching::D

Yeah they were surprises eh. Don't expect a good team like Arsenal to get knocked out in 3rd round.
 
And we draw Birmingham in the 4th round of the FA Cup. A home tie which means the scheduled game on Sat 27th January will have to be played another time not sure who it was now. Hopefully we will get knocked out and not have another cancelled.
