2023/24 Football Season.

I'm not posting much nowadays but I'm still around. :) I do read this thread from time to time.

Re footy - I am enjoying playing it more than I like talking about it lol. I'm not feeling great mentally. It's nearly 2 years since I first (attempted):hilarious: to kick a ball at walking football practice. I was playing twice a week but one of those sessions has been cancelled now.

Went to St James' Park last week. It was a very late night and I'm still suffering the after effects.

Hope you're OK John?
Hey nice to see you. Yeah I'm good thanks.

0-0 got beat on pens!

Other than the keeper who is in his forties, the average age of the others on the pitch was around 20, and more than half are nowhere near first team.
Just poor! Out and not worth the electricity bill!

Seems I can't read properly at the moment...

We are away to Falkirk tonight in the Challenge Cup and after going a goal down, now lead 1-2 at half time.
Their goalie had a personal nightmare for the first one, second one was a tidy finish.

Just checked the final score and sadly you lost 4-2 :( Bad luck mate.

Nice 2-0 win for England. Malta scored in their own goal for the first goal and Harry Kane bagged the 2nd goal.
I'm sorry mate, but there is something not quite right, the talent we have, if let loose should have battered this Sunday league team. It wasn't our best by a long stretch.

Meanwhile back at the garbage on show at the bottom of league we allowed Sutton to equalise in the last minute. It feels like a defeat. Our first away point, but we needed all three.
Toughest ahead now! Gillingham at home next up. They won today!
Help!

I only saw the first 15 minutes so I dunno. I know England are capable of more than that but hey ho a win is a win and they have qualified.
Bad luck in your game mate :( You can hope that they bring some new players in the January transfer window which is what we also need.
