2024/25 Football Season

Yeah you'll get bad refs out there. One such ref cost us promotion back to the Premier League in the play off final. Needless to say he got his shop trashed after that. He didn't check the VAR otherwise he'd have seen it was a clear foul and penalty should have been awarded. In fact he missed awarding another penalty too.
 
The worst for us was when winning at Villa in a second leg semi final.
Aldo was through on Bosnich, Bonisch brought him down. At that time, defo red card. Not even a yellow.
Went to penalties, Bosnich saved the decider.
We wuz robbed big time.
Usually ref for both legs, changed cos in the first leg, ref made a howler.
Second was a known homer and big club apologist.
 
Away to Aberdeen on late Sunday afternoon.
Really really need a win and a good performance...

Home to port vale, new man in temporary charge.
Gonna still get beat. Carlisle won at Barrow last night, so the two clubs below are both 2 points behind.
Only takes one to win and we are in relegated zone.

That's not good at all mate.
 
By the gods we actually won 1-2. We really needed that cos the teams around us had good results too. Gap of 4 points. Onwards to a Home tie with Wrexham on Tuesday night. That will be a tester and a half. That's followed by a trip to Bristol Rovers on Saturday. It's going to be a tense run in. 12 games to come.

Looking like we may be getting our Neighbours Bradford City coming to join us along with Doncaster Rovers. Fingers crossed it doesn't go pear shaped for either of them. 2 more Yorky Derbies. Assuming of course we don't fluke promo.

Now there's a turn up for the books. I had no Idea Oldham and Rochdale had dropped out of the League football. You Learn sumat new every day lol.

Fingers crossed results go your way mate. I'd hate to want to see you join Coldham and Rochdale in the Non league.
 
We drew away 1-1, good first half, not so much second.
there is now a six point gap between us and Accy who are fourth bottom, and only one point above the drop zone as the two below also picked up points.

home to Bromley Saturday, who also picked up a nice win last night.
 
It's getting serious stuff now mate. 1 point gap isn't much. Lets hope you don't get sucked in to the mire.
 
Trip to the West Country to face Bristol Rovers for our lads tomorrow. Need to win if we want to remain in the play off zone.
