2024/25 Football Season

I always get excited for fixture release day, it’s like Christmas for football fans. But once the full schedule drops, reality kicks in, especially if you don’t have Sky. I’ve missed a few of my team’s games on TV, and watching highlights after just isn’t the same. Still, the build-up before a new season is one of my favourite parts, especially after catching some decent pre-season matches.

I've stopped watching any live sport now. Not paying the extortionate price for a TV Licence. I got plenty stuff on such as Amazon to stream and watch.

Radio is enough for me. Enjoy doing other things with either commentary and or updates on the rad.

In other news.
United got a very good draw away from home last night in Vienna coming back twice for 2-2. Our Ozzie striker looks promising.
Hibs did well 2-0 away in Belgrade.
Rangers 3-0 on Tuesday night against some blind boys whose name escapes me.

Onward.

At home to the shrews, early ko for us as well.
Good luck to all our teams playing this weekend.
The owners have taken legal action against one of the fans supporters group, known as the trust.
It will not end well.
The trust run a marquee for supporters and have always shared profits for the benefit of the club.
The trust were the major movers in the building of the new fan zone building, which went **** up.
The club never secured the building on the club's land. It's a complete .... show.
The club blame the trust. The club are demanding money from the trust, they don't have.
The supporters who have supported the club and trust are not happy with mainly the club.
But the trust, are not to blame with the sequence of events. And have accepted things can be sorted.
The club won't talk or accept any responsibility.
All this on the day of the anniversary of the founding trust chairman of his death.
It could turn nasty tomorrow, once more, after last season's supporters disenchantment with the club's owners.
Will report back.

That doesn't sound good mate. Good luck with the game. Hope you win.

Oh wow I'm impressed we won 0-2. Top the table still and smiling. Lets see if anyone can knock us off the perch later this afternoon. Next up is a Home Cup tie to the Foxes (Leicester City) on Tuesday night. If we could scalp them it would be quite something. the next League match is next Saturday at the Seaside (Blackpool) Bring it all on. UTT.

Wow!
4-0 and fourth in the league.
Just very good today.
I'm not getting carried away, ithere will be more difficult games.I
Home to Burton Tuesday

Well done mate that is brilliant. I hope this is your season.

Just kicked off against Hearts at home,
probably be a tough one.

Well done the Town and Rovers.
Happy Sunday!

Sadly Hearts scored in the 94th minute to win 3-2. Just ran out of legs and don't have the squad for mid week Euro games...

Celtic win blindfolded at Aberdeen 2-0.
Killie come back to get a 2-2 at Hibs, one of the goals very good.
Dundee robbed at Rangers with a late penalty to Rangers for a 1-1 draw. Awful decision.
Buddies and Motherwell couldn't find the net...

Leicester home for our lads tomorrow night (Wednesday) I was thinking it was tonight. Ever hopeful that we pull off a shock win. Cup games have a habit of pulling off shock results. Watch this space. UTT.

Government take action on Sheffield Wednesday crisis as Owls fans plan 'funeral march'

The government is fast-tracking the introduction of the independent football regulator (IFR) amid the continued crisis at Sheffield Wednesday. The Labour Party are said to be pushing through secondary legislation which will see the IFR in place by November.

Well that will be the first decent thing Labour have done. Lets hope they can get it sorted out and get a new owner in place. I hate to see Clubs in trouble. We were there once when we were staring down the barrel of a gun and thankfully Barry Ruberry came to our rescue and here we are today a strong team. It doesn't look good for Morecambe who have been rejected from the National League and are on the Brink of extinction. I feel so sorry for them and for the Owls.

Will ya look at that Donny knocked Middlesboro for 4-0 and Bradford beat Blackburn Rovers. I wonder if we can follow suit tomorrow night and dispose of Leicester City. I wonder why the Tranmere Game was postponed? @Lamont D
it was a outside into the ground power cut mate.
when the floodlights were turned on it cut the main stand, turnstiles , the shop, dressing rooms and obviously the floodlights had no power. The power company couldn't do owt, till today, the rearranged game is next Tuesday and we play the Gills at home on Saturday, so hopefully be ok for Saturday, but we won't need the floodlights on Saturday!
it all happened as I got there! So blame me.
We were supposed to play Accrington away next Tuesday but that will be played in the next few weeks.
