22 Months In .........

well that might be a good idea after all type 2 is usually for good.... so if one can get numbers lower by taking that , but well metformin do have side effects one can be not being able to uptake vitamin B 12 .. and that is a disaster for our health and body and can in itself lead to neuropathy
I’m trying to pre-empt that happening by taking a Vitamin B complex tablet which includes B12

Hi @CoastGirl

A couple of things come to mind - as someone else said, maybe some resistance exercise would help with insulin resistance.

You also mentioned intermittent fasting - 16/8 or 18/6. I wonder whether it would be worth trying only having 2 meals within these windows, rather than 3, or alternatively adding in a couple of 24 hour fasts (dinner to dinner or lunch to lunch) each week. I found that really helped with lowering blood sugars. Given that you don’t want to lose more weight, then you might need to adjust your diet to include more fats.

Good luck with all of this.

@Goonergal, I thought I'd trial the 16/8 or 18/6 first and maybe build up to 24hr. Not sure I could last ! I do have a fair amount of fat in diet with advocado and olives, olive oil, cheese, cream and coconut oil every day. It is all just trial and error and finding the right fix for me I guess.:)
