Today is exactly 6 months since I was diagnosed. Pretty mixed feelings about it I guess.

Boyfriend is still away for work so I've "celebrated" with a pizza and some puppy cuddles!

Haha thanks mo! The pizza was so worth it, only had half though. Replaced the rest with a salad.... Sounds less rock and roll that way though haha

Happy 6 months in lol. I didn't celebrate my 6 months in so think I will tonight with some nice snacks and dvd. (no salad with that though)

Yeah I didn't even realise it was 6 months. I was actually trying to remember when I had gotten my puppy's vaccinations and that was 3 days before I was diagnosed haha

Snacks and a DVD sound good! After the Disney Pixar chat the other day I'm feeling a cartoon evening could be in order for me

I never remember when I was diagnosed neither. Pixar film sounds good but going for an adult one this evening (not that type of adult one everyones thinking of before they comment) probably will be the hunger games, not seen it before.

It's pretty good, I preferred the books though. The film misses a lot out, still worth a watch

A good compromise is the audio books. Quite nice sat on a beach with stephen fry reading Harry Potter books to me !

I LOVE those. I have them on my iPod and listen wherever I go. Harry potter is great in the first place, but adding Stephen fry makes it even better!

The mixed feelings never go away believe me :) I think your doing fine going by what you write on the forum, certainly the first few months is the worst as there's so much to take in.

happy anniversary :) betcha things have changed abit hehe, but on the up side we get to know you :)

Yeah I actually think I've been doing ok too, but I've got the clinic in a few weeks so the hba1c will reveal all! With the help of the forum and reading the books you all recommended Ive armed myself with as much knowledge as I can to get things steady.

True Andy, and I wouldn't have gotten to know all of you. Even if you are a bit of a motley crew ;)

Can you imagine it?!?

"We'll have 15 pizzas.... But made on low carb pizza bases, cauliflower perhaps? And what do you make your tomato sauce from? Do you add sugar? And then 15 diet cokes..... We MUST have it from the can or bottle because quite frankly we don't trust you. For dessert we'll all have cheese and biscuits, but please hold the biscuits. Too much carb..."

Happy diabetes-versary!

Wow you are doing really well to only have had it for 6 months - you're always commenting and imparting your wisdom upon us which is great!

What movie was chosen in the end?
