Hi,

welcome to the forum. What did your nurse say your HbA1c result was?

Apart from what you’ve eaten it also depends what your reading was before eating. If it was 5.5 then 7.5 is the most you’d want it to go up to, but if your reading was below 5.5 then the rise is too much.

Hello and welcome.

One reading by itself doesn't give a lot of information (particularly when the reading itself is not really high). I understand how stressed you must feel now.

Once you have the results from the doctor let us know. The good news is that even if the results show that you have diabetes there is a lot you can do with diet to bring your levels down.

So don't get too stressed (easy to say hard to do) let us know the result. There are a lot of amazing people here who are really willing to give suggestions, help and support.

Good luck.
