It's my birthday today so I'm having a glass of champagne, strawberries and a trifle. Naughty but nice and only once a year!
What's your birthday treat to yourself?

I haven't had a birthday since diagnosis, but I do have a naughty thought. Vanilla slices keep coming to mind.

Happy birthday Andrea..!

I too am constantly getting messages wishing me "many happy returns" today on Facebook..
I don't put my DOB in social networking sites (identity theft avoidance.) so I find it amusing because my birthday was yesterday along with my 38th anniversary as a Diabetic..

I'm pretty much out doing something or another the rest of the year, so a quiet one in for me!
Again, more irony in the sense everyone else thinks I should be more rock & roll... Lol
 
Happy Birthday Doc ! My treat of choice is Ben & Jerry's Phish Food Ice Cream :)
 
I don't have any hankerings over sweet things - at the moment I might just have two thick slices of white bloomer toast, or a proper bacon sandwich with HP sauce, or a couple of croissants. I've got 8 months to think about it though!

What's odd is that I never had a sweet tooth before I was diagnosed. Still don't really, but for some reason see it as an indulgence and a real treat. I love bread and don't think I could stop at one slice of chunky white with loads of butter if I started!!
Oh ******, really want that now, thanks sanguine!!!
