Hi all,

Just for laugh ... ok?! I had to get a new passport sized photo today for my new driving license. Normally I absolutely hate being photographed, always have - but needed to get this done, so went to the post office and used their photo-booth (does anybody come out looking good?) to get the deed over and done with.

When I got the photos I was kinda surprised - I looked so different! I went home and found a photo taken in November by a professional photographer (it was for the company website - I have sense lost that job, sadly) and put the old and the new together and was even more surprised to see the difference!

Check this out ............. I am most certainly no Kate Moss, but as my neighbour said "You lost 15kg and 10 years"!! I could have kissed him!! hahahahaha But it really goes to show that it happens in real life and not just on the television in "10 years younger" or in Gok's make overs.

Red/Black top photo is from November and by a professional photographer. The other(s) was taken today in a photo-booth.

Funny and just wanted to share my "result"!!

Just thought you might want another laugh!! Here I am today 23 August - 3 months down the line from diagnoses and some 20kg lighter than my current avitar which was taken in early May just after diagnoses!! Still a little weight to go, but I think I am looking pretty ok these days!!

WOW Dermot!! You look fantastic!!! And cute as a button, too!!! Well done you!

BTW - I was 18 st 8 lb too, but three years ago and long before I got diagnosed. I have lost 5st since early July last year - about half of it since diagnoses in late April this year.

So, Dermot, you are doing much better than me loosing so much weight in such short time - but all power to you! :D

I'm so jealous
I've kept to my low carbs pretty much all the time and after the initial 18 kg loss, I've been stuck for a year
