Nothing, and I mean nothing at all to do with diabetes, simply a very proud mum shouting out to the world.
My son has bagged himself the position of Executive Director of a large London charity. He's 25.
My little family has come a long way since we were homeless in 1990 and I can't tell you just how much me, my son and daughter have achieved.

Thanks for listening guys.

Aww - how lovely! :D :D - you are very right to be proud - very well done to your son - and to all of you, life can be awful sometimes but it makes us appreciate the good stuff all the more :D

That's lovely, we invest so much love but worry and heartache too over our children.
You have every right to crow when things turn out well :D

Oh wiflib, what a wonderful uplifting message, WELL DONE to all of you. Homeless in 1990 you said, the children were still small, you struggled on, never giving up, you have taught your children a most valuable lesson there.

To the wiflib family:

You made it!
There are stars in the making.
Look out world!
Whether on a mountain top
or in a valley low, you'll always
make it through the storm
and find a rainbow.

All the best to you all.

Just wanted to say thank you to you all for your heartfelt best wishes. It made me warm to think there are so many lovely people out there.

He's been staying with me for a few weeks whilst looking for accommodation in London and has been following my low-carb lifestyle, mainly because I said I'd do him in if he bought bread into my house! He quickly lost almost a stone. Unfortunately, a few pounds have gone back on. Spending time at the labour party conference in hotel rooms and a carb addicition is a hard thing to overcome but he has excellent knowledge about carb restriction so I'm hoping I've given him the tools to deal with the cloud of diabetes over his head.

Spreading the lurrrrvvvve
