I have trouble with swollen ankles/feet in the evening, although it's not as bad as it used to be now that I've lost some wright. Last Friday I weighed myself at my mum's (her scales are very accurate) and they said one thing. My ankles were swollen. Saturday morning I went to boots and weighed myself and I was 2lbs lighter. Try it. The fluid goes if you have your feet raised so lie on the sofa and put feet up the back of it. You may find you'll do a good bit of weeing!Have managed to exercise every day this week but am 1lb heavier. By the time I get home my ankles are swollen. Really frustrating as eaten all the right things except for the stupid yoghurt with the honey sauce (according to asda 8.5g of carb per 100g- yeah right!) which sent my bs from 5to 9.4! This was actually worse than when I ate 4mouthfuls of my daughters pasta to see what happened when I eat pasta! That was 9.2! Whine! Whine! Must be the hot weather making me tired and irritable!
Feet get very swollen in the hot weather. Elevating them higher than head helps, (I lie on the bed with my feet up on the wall ) so does drinking even more water. Eating celery and reducing salt helps too.I have trouble with swollen ankles/feet in the evening, although it's not as bad as it used to be now that I've lost some wright. A warning about the Boots machine. It's very loud! MEASURING WEIGHT NOW! MEASURING BODY FAT NOW! Luckily it doesn't shout out the figures! It gives you a printout and you don't have to measure the fat, I think that's hit and miss anyway. Before it prints it displays the results on a screen. As it's the World Cup, I think tomorrow it will say:
If you don't want to know the results, look away now!
you're doing well so don't let the gremlins wear you down.
Take care

Depends on why foot is swollen. If water retention it could help. Not if it is injury, but it is a tasty snack and diuretic.Really, will celery help my swollen foot?
Yet again I managed a 45 minute walk in the sunshine. Tomorrow will be a little more complicated though as my daughter has bought me a slightly early Father's Day present so she and I will be sat at Lord's all day watching the England v Sri Lanka test match. It should be a great day, but I suspect we'll have to walk from Baker Street tube station to Lord's and back to ensure I get the exercise I need.
I will send you a message via ESP when you get it you will know you have reached the telepathic mode.42 minute brisk walk just completed.
I'm now making sure I eat less than 50g carbs a day.
When do I begin to realise I'm in the, much discussed on this forum, telepathic state? ;-)

I have more bother with left foot swelling more than right. A very lopsided weeble woman.Well yes, I asked my GP and he said whilst it was originally an injury it's now water retention, but the other foot is fine. I'll get some celery tomorrow, thanks
Have you had your bike fitted to you? Having the wrong set-up can apparently cause havoc to your joints and general riding comfort. Hoping it gets better soon - alcohol offers pretty good pain relief. That and bathing in jelly and cream. Mmmmm
