"A new you in 42"

Have managed to exercise every day this week but am 1lb heavier. By the time I get home my ankles are swollen. Really frustrating as eaten all the right things except for the stupid yoghurt with the honey sauce (according to asda 8.5g of carb per 100g- yeah right!) which sent my bs from 5to 9.4! This was actually worse than when I ate 4mouthfuls of my daughters pasta to see what happened when I eat pasta! That was 9.2! Whine! Whine! Must be the hot weather making me tired and irritable!

Scandi don't worry about the scales too much, it could be that you have toned up muscle now and muscle is heavier than fat.

This morning I woke with a really painful back, so I am shuffling along like a 90 year old again. So if it eases up during the day I will attempt a 10 minute walk, if not I'll rest. It's probably happened because of the chiropractor treatment on Weds and the fact that I sat in a car for too long yesterday. Thankfully I didn't have to drive in the end as hubby got home in time for the airport run. So, I'll do my best. Pedro has gone missing again, not sure if I actually lost him yesterday or if he has smuggled himself into the suitcase and is now on his way to Brazil.

Hope Pedro sends a post card!
Take it easy with your back Zand :(- maybe gentle stretching today? Ouch!

...mornin' everyone, bright and sunny here, doesn't feel muggy like yesterday....never got round to the skipping but forgot that I'd walked up and down the steps to Asda twice yesterday, 160+ in all, so don't feel quite so guilty...there were teenagers sitting at the bottom of them and probably thought poor old woman's forgotten where she's going hehe...

...Zand where did you get your Pedro....had a cheap one which was hopeless, then a dearer one that had so many bits and pieces to it I couldn't figure it out....

Scandi, the clue is in the statement 'I have managed to exercise every day this week' ....that's Brilliant!
Don't be down on yourself because you are doing an amazing job:)

Wow that's a lot of steps! I got Pedro from Amazon, I was feeling lazy and hubby did the research and got a comparison chart up for me so I could choose which features were important to me. It's a fairly basic, cheap one which was why I felt the need to count my own steps to check! I found that on 'proper' walks it's accurate for number of steps, but on the little stop/starting steps I do when I am at home it adds 2 or 3 every time I start to move again. So I take him out of my pocket sometimes (that's probably how I lose him so much) when I am going to be doing jobs like ironing because I don't want false high readings which make me look like I am doing better than I really am. I hope that makes sense.

Talking of Amazon, my son and I went to McDonald's for lunch (I was good, I had the chicken salad and water) when we got back there was a parcel from Amazon on the doorstep, he got wildly excited about the word 'Amazon' and said 'I'm going near there!' It was at this point that I knew the rest of the packing wouldn't get done unless I stepped in!

Yes thanks....I had forgotten about stretches! I've found lots that I printed out from the internet last year, so I'm doing those again now. Thanks for reminding me, sometimes I just forget how to help myself.

This is an odd question, bit has any one experienced their wee suddenly having a 'Tom cat' odor. My bs Is ok, I don't have a temperature, but have been on corrisone and antibiotics for some time, just off them now. I have noticed the same smell sometimes after one of the fellas use the loo. Colour is fine, Wang bright ideas, will see dr soon as I can. Thankyou.

Only after using antibiotics a few years ago.

Thankyou, I've been on antibioticks for weeks, just spoke to a pharmacist friend, and she said, drink, drink am
Nd drink some more, sadly, not plonk! So water, tea a ns decaf it is.
Amazing how a symptom can make such a panic when we try to cheerful and stoic? Good to be able to share, I'm sure a visit to the dr will tell all:)

Went o our large shopping cente and walked for a good hour, raining today. Did a large load of washing, nearly fell in the machine trying to get it out!
Had mixed berries, especially blue berries, Greek yoghurt and 40 % fat cream for breakie. High of 6.5, very happy as only just started metformin again. No matter what my day or evening readings are, I ger about 5.5 in the mornings, despite being sick and meds....don't get that, but like it!

great job everyone :) I'm still cycling but have a bad knee boooooooo its kind of like have a new knee going outwards lol but still at it, I'm hoping it goes down and i can avoid a kneeoctomy

OK so I've done my back stretches (10 exercises) 3 times today. It's still very sore so I'm not walking or ironing today. And Yay! My son just managed to catch his flight connection from Sao Paulo to Salvador (after having to push in at check-in muttering apologies in not very good Portuguese) So hopefully he will be there for the kick off of Spain v Netherlands tonight.:) Still no sign of Pedro.:(

Yet again I managed a 45 minute walk in the sunshine. Tomorrow will be a little more complicated though as my daughter has bought me a slightly early Father's Day present so she and I will be sat at Lord's all day watching the England v Sri Lanka test match. It should be a great day, but I suspect we'll have to walk from Baker Street tube station to Lord's and back to ensure I get the exercise I need.

tried the mountain bike home tonight, strangely i was 8 minutes faster than the road bike, dunno what that means, 38 mph on a mountain bike is bloody scarey, i think the 8 minutes may have been down to being alot braver through the traffic due to not worrying about getting my feet out of the pedals lol the cycling is the only exercise im doing at the mo :( apart from working hard, that seems to be enough to cream cracker me
