I had rather a healthy but substantial green papaya and chicken salad. Now I'm not hungry and don't fancy any supper. BG is now 4.8mmol. Presumably, it'll continue to drop, what should I eat if anything?
Despite lunch being healthy, there must have been sugar, 11.8 after lunch, up like a rocket so did 1 unit Novorapid correction dose around 3pm. Fruit pastilles all over the house!!ThanksHi @SueJB As you've got no quick acting insulin on board then it shouldn't continue to drop, test again in an hour, if it's getting lower then have some glucose, do you keep this to hand ?
It depends on:I had rather a healthy but substantial green papaya and chicken salad. Now I'm not hungry and don't fancy any supper. BG is now 4.8mmol. Presumably, it'll continue to drop, what should I eat if anything?

ThanksIt depends on:
How accurate your basal rate is. If it's not perfectly matched you could go up or down.
How well you matched your bolus to your food.
Whether your bolus insulin has a long tail-off on its activity profile.
If you want to go to sleep, I'd have a biscuit or half a glass of milk, then you've got a bit of an error margin. Otherwise, wait and test is really the only way to know what's happening.
