Diet drinks - the artificial sweeteners taste vile.
Having to forswear foods I have loved all my life.
Trying to find low carb meals when eating out.
I've (in the last couple of days) had the track and trace JavaScript from the freestyle.abbott web site blocked by Avast with the message URL:Blacklist.
I understand that this means that Avast have blacklisted the script.
The rest of the site seems to work.

I have reported this to Avast and to Abbott just now.

Has anyone else seen this?
Happens with Chrome and Edge under Windows 10.

disconnect the computer from the Internet, then check the computer for viruses, if everything is fine, remove the browser shortcuts from the desktop and add them again through the installation file, also clean cookies in browsers. In most cases, this solves the problem. Everything seems to be fine with the site itself.

Thanks, but I don't have a virus infection.
Avast is reporting that a remote script has been blacklisted.

I would do a deep virus scan. We use AVG and Malwarebytes and its worth it as some of the sneaky viruses are hiding deeper. Clearing cookies/history etc in Chrome also is a good idea. I tend to do all this before I start up in the mornings. Have you got add blocker as this can flag up and block things, had it recently with a website I use daily, it was a case of just allowing it then it was sorted ;)

Thank you.
As I said up thread I don't have a virus.

Avast is blocking the execution of a remote JavaScript(js) file because it is on a blacklist.
So the script never gets to run on my PC.
The issue I have asked Abbott and Avast to resolve is if this is an accurate report, or a false positive.

I run:
AdBlock Plus
Ghostery
NoScript Lite

I also have Avast AntiVirus checking everything that comes in.

I am not at the moment concerned about the security of my PC, certainly not from this particular issue.
[Doesn't mean that my PC is secure, of course.]
I flagged it up to let others know that this was happening and to check if anyone else using Avast and having recently ordered from Abbott was seeing the same thing.

Unless its something like a company/business machine (ie you have to use it) you may want to just trying Windows Defender instead of Avast - a) its free with Windows and b) is now just as good as many of the paid-for anti-viruses - as it may well not have it blacklisted (especially since it sounds like its needed and is supposed to be there)

Other machines just rely on Windows Defender, and have been fine so far.
I would take Avast off this one, but I have read many horror stories about how hard it is to uninstall and get rid of all the deeply buried stuff.
That is on the list for "when I'm bored and have a spare day or so".
Not likely to happen soon.
