Also..re "Man of God" aimed at @JohnEGreen - you have jumped to a conclusion based on a photo...and, if there is a god, then are we not all men of god?

I’m glad not to be the only one, as also seen by the presented
Link of NIH.Gov the world’s leading medical reference, but it’s
maybe surprising how there is still a majority which did not
really understand what’s really behind all the known causes !
I’m also glad, if with my post I could help many Diabetics.
.
As a fellow man of science how about being a little less arrogant..
As a Man of God, how about being a little more tolerant ?
.
Groan...If that photo is a Saturday night out for our @JohnEGreen ?? Let's hope he doesn't make a "habit" of it....

.Hi there. I'm very pleased that you feel that you understand the physical and practical aspects of living with T1.5 - funnily enough, as someone who builds artificial pancreases and tunes the algorithms on them, alongside being a T1 for 29 years, my grasp isn't too bad either. But that's neither here not there.
Your thread with a bunch of disparate links that show what complications are, a somewhat condescending link regarding blood vessels from wikipedia and the ADA Standards in Diabetes Care document don't constitute a particularly helpful set of information. It might perhaps be better to share what you do and how these relate.
.Do you think you're the only person who's aware of diabetic complications?
How long have you had diabetes?
.
May I ask you what average HbA1c you have ?
.
.CertainlyMy last few HbA1Cs were 5.2, 5.1, 4.7 and 4.6%.
@Ch.R. I know what my results mean, thank youI've had Type 1 for more than twenty years.
Yes, I have a pump now. It's an Animas Vibe. No, it isn't a closed loop system. I do all the work myself. I do normal finger prick tests (I do not have a continuous blood glucose meter).
BUT my HbA1C was pretty much the same on injections - that is, around 5%.
Phew! I thought it was just me.Nope..... I'm lost now.
.@Jaylee The first bit sounds plausible but the flower bit came out of nowhere : D
Why did he suddenly mention watering flowers and watching hummingbirds? : D
.Thanks @Ch.R. I understand what you were saying now
I don't agree that my pump pours insulin into my body whether it's needed or not. That's the whole point of pumps. You take the insulin you need. My pump never gives me unneeeded insulin. I don't have a CGM but I test my blood sugar and adjust my pump as I need.
.
Sorry !
It’s a technical matter. Principally for Basal Insulin it need no
Pump, can take Toujeo or Tresiba instead.
By your Pump You need to control constantly instead having
this automatically as safety all by sensor-controlled and just
set a hysteresis of an upper-limit and a lower-limit, that’s all.
