Hi if anyone could give me some advise I would be really grateful.
I usually take 6 units of levemir in the evening , 14 in the morning .
I have just accidentally given myself 12 units of levemir plus 6 units of novarapid .
Have eaten a normal tea so fast acting isn't an issue but I am worried regarding bloods dropping overnight . I have spoken to 111 and someone will get back to me , in the meantime any advise from anyone ?

Small longer acting snacks and regular testing during the night...

Frequent blood tests, alarms through the night and a ready selection of both short and long acting carbs is the only solution, I'm afraid.

You're far from the first person to do this, so don't feel bad. It's an easy mistake to make.

Take care - I hope you have someone with you just support and to check all's ok?

I would say go with donnellysdogs Please let us know of any happenings during the night @jackybob :)

Do have a quick acting hypo stopper at hand though..

I would be waking every hour!! But as a minimum every two hours..

Glad to read your update. Wondered if you were ok and how you got on.

Tbh I sometimes make mistakes and don't worry too much. I just see it as an excuse to have a bit more yogurt n choc!!

TBH donnelysdogs . I have had it 50 years plus and it's the first real blunder I have made . I put it down to changing from 2 injections a day that I mixed to going onto the pen ! O well you live and learn . Thnx for your concern

I had to write with permanent marker which was bolus/basal when went back to MDI after pump! Even though one pen is red and one blue! In use wanted to add in a 2nd type of basal to use... I had to say "no" as probably remembering which one is which just with two pens!!

So long as you're ok.. That's all that matters..
