If your account is deleted all the posts from other people to you posts are affected so why not just go away not post any more and forget the place?
Why make a show of it?

Having your account deleted does not mean your posts disappear, as you can see.
It's perfectly fine if members want their account deleted instead of just not showing up anymore.
