Hi, I was just wondering if anyone is using Accuchek 360 software and your thoughts on it, i've been offered an upgrade on my compass software and waswondering if it was worth while changing :?:
Phillip

Hi Phillip, I recently got the same letter offering me the 360 software and ordered it, it took a while to arrive, in fact I thought they had forgotten me but it finally arrived a couple of weeks ago.

It was pretty painless to install and during the install process offered me the chance to import all my Compass records which I did. The resulting reports give the same information as the old software but it in a slightly different format which I personally didn't like very much, but I guess Im just too used to the old Compass format.

It has more features than the old Compass and it is easier to set high and low ranges for the reports. I believe it can also send reports to your diabetes team via email if required although quite how interested my GP would be with monthly reports of my control (that he probably wouldn't understand  ) is questionable IMHO

All in all not bad for some free software and after I get used to it I am sure I will like it.

I give it 4 out of 5 smileys

Oh ps. The new interface is much easier to set up and is pure USB, so non of that serial port malarkey as with the Compass :D

I sent my letter off about a week ago and still waiting.

Anyone know if the 360 will run on Vista? Can't remember reading anything about it in the letter.

I would imagine so as my old Compass Software ran fine on Vista. As this is an upgrade it should run no problems. It is because of Vista that it was upgraded to stop any problems arising.

Thanks for you reply Ken, just changed my old P4 PC to a newer one and was just wondering if it would work or not. As you say, it should work but I guess I'll find out for sure when I get it.

Quick update, I got my 360 software and input device some time in mid July, and today I received the installation guide

Better late than never I suppose :)

After upgrading my PC to Windoze 7 I have been unable to install the new (to me) 360 software, I am 45 mins away from a visit to the DN at my local surgery, the first since being discharged from the hospital diabetic clinic, and had wanted to take my test info to back up my request for further test strip prescriptions.

Phoned the people at Accu Chek and they said "Mmm Oh, sorry the only thing you can do is re install XP"................

Not what I wanted to hear

Any techs got a work around, pretty please :D

the 360 isn't compatiable with windows 7...

None of the software is Windows 7 compatible (I have them all, with the exception of the 360)

So far I've always been disappointed with their software as it's very basic to say the least..

I have the Pocket Compass software on my PDA, as I use the their insulin pump has more features, it says it can be uploaded to the compass software yeh right, it uploads the blood glucose reading, but doesn't upload my insulin pump information..

The pixle (think that's what it's called) also handles my pump information, but alas it uses explorer window, doesn't include information, you can only select a predetermined periods and it only deals with max period of 6 weeks pump, and 8 weeks BG meter... And unless you print out an hard copy, it doesn't save information either on the duffer/reciver or ability to save on hard-drive..

Me I think if LIfescane has upgraded their pump side of their software, then I'm going back to my ultrasmart meter!
