Right then guys, I use Diasend at home (the Diasend uploader) and it links very well with my Freestyle Libre.

It also connects to my Aviva Combo handset and allows me to upload all of my blood glucose data and carbs.

When it comes to pump data though, connecting to the handset has resulted in no insulin information being uploaded, and the pump itself will not connect to the Mac to upload directly from the pump.

Does anyone have any advice as to how I can get the insulin data from the pump to Diasend?

I know it does not help, but I just tried and my Dexcom G4 works, as does my Combo handset, but no joy with the pump either.

Nope. Absolutely nothing in the insulin section. I have emailed Diasend & asked them for advice.

Diasend do not support the Roche pumps, they keep saying soon, but its been three years that I've been chasing them.

Diasend got back to me and said;

Thank you for contacting diasend® Support.

If you want to download data from a Accu Chek Combo pump you do need a device called SmartPix (reader). The AccuChek realtime cable does work fine for the Accu Chek combo handset but will not work with the pump.

Please contact AccuChek customer support UK: 0800 701 000 to order the SmartPix reader.

Kind regards

I have just ordered a SmartPix reader & Roche say it should be with me in 2 to 4 days.

Will let you know what happens.....

While I don't use a pump I'm also having trouble with my Aviva expert uploading the dissend. It doesn't upload insulin at all, it used to. It also won't detect the smartpix on Windows 10, the lead works as I can import on other Windows versions and the smartpix software itself

I upload my combo to Diasend fine, both the meter and pump but I have one of smartpix cables, so if you have one on the way I'm sure it will work fine once it arrives! I am loving Diasend over both the libre and the Roche software and with my lovely new surface pro tablet I'm feeling very technological!

My SmartPix reader arrived today and now I can upload my pump insulin data.

The only problem I had was the uploader display - It says 'Scanning for device' when it is actually connected and obtaining the data. You can tell when data is being transferred as the turning semicircle moves very jerkily. After a minute or so it changes to the usual 'Uploading data' display.

I am using Windows 8.

I think I spoke to soon, because it was working great but tonight it won't upload at all, just says scanning for device the whole time and never goes any further! It's got me frustrated now as been trying on and off all evening!

Just to clarify - Diasend does not work with the Combo pump only the Handset - just tried it. Using an iMac the downloader just sits there asking me to connect the pump which is connected but not seen.

Correction: after playing around and calling Roche
the smartpix downloader for the Combo does not work with iMac only PC, there are no drivers for it :-( seems it will work for the pump and the handset.

the realtyme downloader for the Combo does work with an iMac but only the handset but not with the Pump :-(

Diasend did work with my combo pump, and also the handset when I used smartpix, I used it a few times with no issues and got all the pump data, it was only last night that I was having issues so I need to try again!

Hmmm. I spoke to Roche and they said that the RealTyme connector is supposed to work with all the pump data and Diasend. May need to try it on a Windows PC.

Hi Tim - see my update above, spoke f2f with Roche rep today, they told me the Realtyme is an out of date interface and say it will not work with the pump, only the earlier Smartpix does but this is not iMac compatible at all.

Only the Realtyme works with the iMac

With the new Insight the newer interface (neither of the above) is going to cost £75 and they claim it will not be freely available to Insight users. Forgot to ask if this new interface will work with an iMac :-(
