is there anyone out there who is on this drug at the moment and if so can you tell me if you have had any side effects please. Also, what do you think about the health warning on bladder cancer linked to using this drug. I have just been put on this due to high sugar levels. I also take 3 x 500g glucophage per day and 3 x gliclizide per day. I am type 2. thank you

I dont think it can have been withdrawn as my DN has only just prescribed this for me and Ive gone from taking 15mg to 45 in 2 weeks per day. However, after reading on here about bladder cancer scares I have stopped taking it from this morning. I have decided to take 4 glucophage instead and decrease my carb intake as much as i can and stick to more protein, see if that helps.
I really do not believe what the health professionals say because they contradict one another.
