Adjusting insulin for morning workout

I take less Fiasp at breakfast time if I'm going to have an hour in the gym that morning. I generally leave it an hour or so sfter eating before starting exercise... by which time my blood sugar has usually headed up to about 15. I can't seem to find any middle ground here. I either inject using my usual carb:fiasp ratio and get a hypo mid-workout, or use a different ratio which seems to even out by lunchtime, but which usually means I start exercise with my blood sugar in the teens and rising! Anyone experienced similar, or have any tips please?

HI @Rich Worthing

I would try a different strategy and aim to eat after the gym, personally I find if I have either food or insulin before gym then my workout can be a blood glucose workout and I prefer to work out without any dramas, if you really feel that you need to eat prior to the gym then go protein only as the rise is
slower and your unlikely to hit mid teens, so omelette with mushrooms/cheese/ham or plain yoghurt and bolus for a correction afterwards if needed.
