Hi everyone, quick up date I have had flu all week. Metformin side affects are not great, doc changed to slow release but think pharmacy gave me the other ones as still not good. I am getting energy back and sugars at all time low an hour ago of 7 which is strange as was 15 this morning.

My eyes are very blurry? Spec savers said this is normal for 6 months until sugars settle down. So what does everyone do for driving feels like I am wearing someone else's lenses.

Did Specsavers recommend a course of action? Can you get a cheap pair of glasses adjusted to help you?

I'm not a glasses wearer, but I did have blurry vision when I was first diagnosed. I just avoided driving until my eyes went back to normal, but if you drive as part of your job then, annoying as it is, maybe a 'temporary' pair of glasses will be necessary.

I'm glad you're feeling a little better now. Did you get any answer to what type you are?
