Type 2 Advice needed urgently please

i am type 2 and for past 24 hours have been constantly sick, which means i can't keep any foods down which means my bloods are currently at 5. Just rang surgery and waiting for a dr to call me back but in the mean time what do diabetics do when they are ill and unable to eat to not then have low sugars? Thanks as feeling very ill
 
I'm hoping some Type 2s will reply soon, but I'm glad you've phoned your surgery for advice. They'll be able to give you specific advice about your meds and food.

Keep testing your blood sugar and keep something sweet nearby in case you go low.

I hope you feel better soon. Being ill with diabetes is horrible.
 
Hi. Bydureon can cause stomach upset for some. If you have been on it for while then it probably isn't the cause but if you are new to it I would suspect that as a possible cause. I wouldn't worry too much about the Gliclazide just take it as normal. It may cause a hypo if you take it but you're not having any food, so test your blood sugar and act accordingly.
