Advice

So finding in the am my correction doses are taking ages to bring me down- this am woke up (4.25am)on 16.4-gave 4 units - at 7.30 still 12
Gave a further dose for my breakfast
Then the day went well- was sitting around 6- then I saw I was 9-bolused 0.5 - then I’m at 10.5
This is so frustrating

Hi everyone

As a MDI user I am in awe of your collective pump knowledge but as a moderator I have to warn you that forum rules don't let you give specific dosing amounts

A11. Important: Members are generally not Health Care Professionals, and those who are participate on the Forum as Members, not Health Care Professionals. B13. Remember: We do not give medical advice. If you give advice then it is through your own experience or a link to a reputable site external to the forum.

So you can say what you personally do and talk about how the pump works and give helpful links, but giving actual dosage amounts for @Jess1D goes over the line on rule A11 and B13. So please be careful on your wording.

And @Jess1D I appreciate your team is being unresponsive, but I would urge you to contact them again for specific dosing advice.

Yes I will try again- have sent another email but still waiting on a response (now 3/4 weeks no response from them)

Would it help to phone them? Harder to ignore you if you actually speak to someone.....

Have phones each week- left voicemail so frustrating I can’t tell you. I want to have my control as good as possible- this is their job to help me??!

So I got a response from my nurse- saying she was sorry but not got the capacity to be answering all of my emails?! 2 emails I sent
In regards to eating out - she advised using carbs & cals (is the best I can do)

Quick question
So I moved from the Dexcom g6 to the G7
My nurse mentioned the Dexcom one- she sent me a starter pack- it is very basic as in you cannot make any notes on the app (insulin/meals/notes) so I’m wary about it as don’t know how I can keep track of patterns-dosing/carbs
Should I stick with the g7?

Definitely stick with the G7! The dexcom one was basically made as a budget model for the NHS who wouldn’t fund the G7 for everyone. The Dexcom G7 is far superior and fully featured. For example, you can’t use the dexcom one with a pump

Thank you yes that’s what I thought
Back to using credit card to pay for the G7 then
