Bowl of porridge before, reduced bolus, TBR of 30% 2hrs ahead. BG started at 9.6, 5km 6.2, 10km 3.8 and 30g carbs, 16km 6.3. HR was perfect with an average of 140 vs target 148 5:20/km And to boot, it was sunny and warm

Just keeping things ticking over @75% HR between a series of four 10k races at present. Did a 10k this evening... wore the HR monitor this time... lets just say the HRs work out a bit different when racing 10k's by pace! Avg HR 184 (about 92%), Max HR 199 (nearly 100%) Last edited by a moderator: Jun 10, 2015

Change of pace today with an easy 3 miles. Starting BG 5.7, had 15g carbs and finished on 8.6, HR 151 for 10:04 min/mi. Lovely weather here too.

Good first attempt.

I'm getting back into some base training now to prepare for a half marathon in the new year. 10 miles today @ 9:58 min/mi: Avg HR - 155 Max HR - 168 Bit of a gradient to negotiate at mile 4 (250ft elevation gain for a mile), had to walk to keep the HR in check.
