Absolutely. Can Diabetic Type 1 still go for Afternoon Tea?
I take nothing before. It is too risky to pre bolus.I suppose the question is knowing how much insulin you would have to give before taking afternoon tea.

What afternoon tea has no carbs?Alternatively, you could eat food low enough in carb so that you would not have to bolus. I usually have boiled eggs and cheese with my tea when I don't want to take insulin.
Which is plain as day for those living in the UK.An afternoon tea is sandwiches and cakes.
I’m further south. (West Country) The industry I’ve worked we have “tea breaks,” short breaks morning or afternoon for a snack (if need be.) & a “cuppa.” Then there are the “lunch breaks” to consume “dinner.”As distinct from "high tea" which is a Midlands/Northern meal, fairly substantial with things like pie or flan, followed by cake or pudding. That's because in those areas, "lunch" is called "dinner" but eaten midday. Confused yet? It really gave me a hard time as a child, when people didn't explain anything.
