hi with novorapid and levemir i try to remove air from insulin cartridge but it seems impossible if theres air and i give shot will this be a problem?.

My diabetic nurse said air bubbles are not in any way dangerous if injected, but large bubbles could significantly reduce the amount of insulin going in so could result in a lower dose than you’ve dialled up. Bottom line as I understand it - large bubbles should be cleared out when priming, but no worries if some smaller ones remain

When I was on injections I would hold the pen upright give it a good flick with my finger and any air would then rise to the top and get passed with the air shot. As already said it’s not dangerous but you don’t get the full insulin hit if you do get some air.
