Hi all, newbie here so go easy lol.
Forgive me if I'm wrong but on the Diabetes.org website it says that if you're diabetic there is no reason to give up drinking and in fact you are allowed to have up to three units (if you're male) or two units (if you're female) a day. It just says to obviously be careful of the extra risk of a hypo.
It actually says that by drinking alcohol (not more than the RDA) can be beneficial for your heart.

Moderate alcohol consumption, in line with recommended daily guidelines, can be beneficial for your heart.
