Which chocolate do you buy from Aldi. I bought some on Monday but have looked at the carb and cocoa content. The first is high the second is low:( I didn't like the taste yesterday when I first tried it and today I found it far too sweet. I may have to pass it on to mr A.

I have looked in Lidl for the 97% sausages but not seen any with that high content. Which brand are they?

I use Aldi Moser Roth chocolate as its lower in carb than other brands and Lidl Turkish yogurt which is low in carb and 10% fat so nice thick and creamy.
For sausages I use Sainsburys Taste the Difference Toulouse or Scillian gluten free and very low carb......2 packs for £5

Which one didn't you like ?

I buy the Aldi Moser Roth 85% . I actually prefer that to branded 85% ones as it comes in small bars and seems less sweet

I think it was 52% which is not good:( It's my fault I didn't read the label properly but I know some of you buy the orange one and that was the only one I could see

Ah yes, I know which one you mean !
The 85% one looks like a huge bar, but contains (I think!) 6 smaller bars. That one, the hard core chocoholic bad a** of Aldi chocolate has the lowest of carbs and the biggest hit, errr satisfaction :D

I buy it, stash it and hide it from the rampaging teenage nephews , it's my precioussssss ;), mine mine mine !:D

I get their sausages! I'll just have a look in the fridge for you!
Milton gate selection British 6 Cumberland sausages. Carb per 100g 2.5 g sorry 85% meat.
Sainsburys taste the difference outdoor bred sausages 97% meat carb 1.2g per 100g.
Don't kno why I'd thought they were 97% meat!

thanks! don't know if I can eat them if they are only 85%:) I will have a look next time I am in Lidl (only been today to stock up on cream, yoghurt and berries!)

I will also keep an eye open for an offers at Sainsburys. I grew up in Toulouse and in pains me to pay so much for something I used to eat regularly!

The Moser Roth 85% dark chocolate is around 4g of carbs a bar (each packs has 5 individually wrapped bars) so it's far from high carbs.

The Lidl sausage is very good for a supermarket brand, I like the pork & apple.

I have often wondered about the Turkish yogurt in Lidl and if it was ok I will certainly try it now...I have the Aldi Moser Roth chocolate I have always prefered plain chocolate anyway

I do not eat sausages myself but I do buy them for my husband.... at 82 he has just been diagnosed T2 his fasting BG blood tests were just over 7..
Never thought about the carbs in sausages I thought all meat was ok. He has started moderate carb reduction and has cut out rice pasta cereal and all sugar stuff ...really hard for him he had such a sweet tooth. Prediabetic myself I do the moderate carbs I struggle to keep my weight up to 8 stone to low and I loose more weight which is not good as underweight can be as bad as being overweight

still not been back to aldi so still using lidl chocolate.

scandi I found the sausages and we had them last week end when we went away. They were very nice and I will definitely get them again. hubbie bought a pack each of the pork and apple ones and the cumberland ones. Have you had both? Did you notice the difference in carbs between the two? I was shocked!

noblehead sorry...I really did not like the pork and apple ones. I found them far too sweet. :(

iHs I get the greek youghurt from Lidl and will have to have a look for the turkish youghurt

AnnieC have you tried the turkish youghurt yet? The sausages with a lower meat content have fillers which are carbs so for people that are on a low carb limit it makes a difference.

The pork & apple sausage from Aldi is probably better in taste, each sausage contains 4.5g of carbs so may not be suitable if your following a very low-carb diet.

Anyone got a photo of the Mosser Roth chocolate package? I made special trip to Aldi but couldn't find one with low carbs.

Aqualung sometimes you have to rummage for the 85% also chic (expert rummager here) it can be hidden behind the other flavours. Also tesco Swiss 85% plainchoc is 3.7 g carbs for 2 squares.

Aldi pulled pork is gorgeous don't have the sauce with it either it's got loads of flavour as well £2.69 a box

I too have tried to find it but my Lidl doesn't sell it :(

It's in Aldi not Lidl.

They might have changed the packaging mind, I stopped eating dark chocolate around 2 years ago so not bought any for a while.
