Hi, this drug is used to encourage a better insulin response as you eat, I am supposing that you have insulin resistance and higher spikes than before diagnosis.
Ask your GP to use an alternative medication that will do the same function.

Are you taking metformin?

Perhaps if you are, then changing the metformin or a slow release version could be the answer.
