Am I being stupid in going to a nutritionist?

put your success stories in figuring out what to eat here.
Very basic meat, fish, veg, eggs, cheese. I have become a compulsive label reader. I use gluten free soy sauce (expensive) and spices to cook meat or stir fry. Eating out is pretty much a no-go. A lot of my meals are salad with mayo and some kind of meat or omelettes. I have also found a gluten free/sugar free pepperoni that I like. I would rather be bored than sick.

I am lactose intolerant as well but OK with cheese. Milk is a big problem however. Lactose intolerance and coeliac often go together.

have been tested in D level by physician with a great attitude who unfortunately retired. Take 5000 units of D3 a day and get tested now yearly, because even if you have to pay for it yourself, by proving through a test you have a condition, the once over lightly physicians who didn't take you serious the first time, do take your condition seriously once proven
That's great advice! Have ordered the test and hopefully in a few days will see the results. Am also going to look at this gluten issue.
And actually, having started taking some of the supplements this nutritionist has suggested (l-theanine and lemon balm, omega 3) - have just had the best nights sleep in years!
