Right, So I attempted to start LCHF today and for breakfast I had greek yoghurt with 4 strawberries but I am still so hungry........what do I do????

Sounds like you could do with taking a few extra bits and pieces in with you - how about an avocado or cheese? Might sound odd but I'm quite happy eating a prawn cocktail for breakfast. Salami to snack on? Scoop of peanut butter on a celery stick?

That sounds like a good idea Bebo. I find that if I eat breakfast I get really hungry earlier. Think you need to plan Nicola, take a Tupperware box of nibbles. If you can get out of work to get some prawn cocktail that's good. But take some nuts and cheese tomatoes etc.

Peanut butter is low carb???? what else can I have with peanut butter?? Because I don't really like many salads!

Peanut butter has 10 to 15g carb per 100g, so pretty low carb yes.
Okay, so another 'snack' to consider - how about a microwaved cheese slice. I haven't had one for ages, but as I recall when you microwave those rubbishy cheese slices, they crisp up to give you something resembling a thin cheesy toasty cracker. Useful to use as a base for ham etc.
I don't recall the specific brands and timings - but you might have some fun experimenting! (Please don't say you don't like cheese!) Lol

Brazil nuts are good low carb snacks.

Hi

Try to drink water , will help you feel less hungry.

Cheese, nuts, seeds are great snacks to nibble on.

I take a pot of 10g almonds, 10g seeds and 5g coconibs and in total the lot is 150cals and 3.3g carb supermarkets sell tiny little pots which are great size for filling. Mix is also very nice in yogurt.

coconibs are like hard bits of very dark chocolate, mixed into the nuts and seeds they are very nice. (get mine from high st 'health food' shop)

I use ground flaxseed as a breakfast cereal as it fills me up for longer. On weekends when I have eggs or yoghurt I seem to be hungrier much sooner -- or maybe thats because the kitchen is nearer :-)

Okay then I will give them a go! I don't know if this week was a great week to start as I don't actually have any money really :/

And also I have had my breakfast and bolognaise mince meat without the pasta and well I feel like poo! Is that because I havent had as many carbs today as normal???

Quite possibly. That can take a few days to pass.

Make sure you drink plenty of water to help your system adjust.

It is difficult to know what you can snack on without it being to fatty or full of carbs and sugar. I like bread but I know it blows me out. Tried taking salads to work for lunch only lasted 2 days, I find the salad to cold on my teeth. Got fed up with taking bananas, found out they contain loads of sugar. Could take fruit but have to be careful of sugars in fruit. So I just think over all its really difficult knowing what you can eat and waht you cant eat or even haw much of it. Some one said cheese previous, thats ok but not if your trying to lose weight. Nuts and seeds ar ok but they become dry in your mouth after a while. I do try and eat the right foods but there are days when I just wont to binge out on rubbish, like when I'm bored , fed up, down, the weathers horrible, some times to keep me awake I know its strange, even on holiday

Cheese is fine if you are low carbing as part of the calorie intake to balance what you are no longer getting from bread etc. Just try and burn more calories than you are eating.

For lunches, tapas-type concoctions are my staple now - mix and match from houmous, guacamole, tomatoes, salami of some kind, cheese (especially feta), olives, tzatziki, carrot sticks (raw better than cooked), nuts, and maybe some berries and cream if you want a dessert. Easy to prepare and take to the office if needed.

To make the bolognaise a more substantial filling meal, put peppers (whole with the middles taken out) in the oven for 10-15 mins with some olive oil on. Then fill them with the bolognaise and top with mozzarella and/or cheddar is delicious! I had veggie version tonight :)

I have yoghurt for breakfast. It has to be full fat though because I get hungry otherwise. I have 50g chopped roast hazelnuts (most supermarkets sell them in the baking aisle) and 50g raspberries with it. Keeps me going until lunch time.
