Sure. Why aren’t you asking your Doctor this same question?Any thoughts?
No, to me it’s not that it’s obvious. My point is, our chum isn’t “hearing” or “listening” to what the Doctor is saying. And for whatever the reason is, and that, right there, in my opinion is the issue. Coming here to counter what the Doctor has said, for reassurance, is understandable. However, isn’t the professional the one to be giving reassurances? Or are we? Interesting.Ho obviously did if the doctor said :"NO" !!
He obviously did if the doctor said "NO" !!
If I were you I would eat a normal balanced diet, reducing processed food, junk food and fizzy drinks, including diet drinks - which is what healthy people should be doing anyway. Perhaps you are pre-prediabetic! I wouldn't stress over it, just bear it in mind for the future as a possibility (but not a probability).
Are you overweight at all?
We can’t diagnose here, and if you’ve had repeat tests that came back negative that suggests the answer is ‘no’. However, if you’re eating ketogenically then that’d take care of any pre-diabetes.
Well, thank you kind sir.Sheesh .... carry on then.
No we can’t, but we can bring our own experiences to bare, which we have.We can’t diagnose here
Thanks. As you’re being honest, so will I. Read my signature below and you’ll understand more of where I’m coming from. After ten years of misunderstandings and being fobbed off by Diabetes Nurses AND a less than edifying and a dangerous attending to two separate Community Diabetes Groups, I’m now a strong supporter of evidence-based results, that’s you and me, and the my luck of getting a Doctor who for the first time issued me with a Meter Kit. This was followed-up by the NHS machine crawling into action.Totally understand what your saying Estragon. But to be honest I don’t really have to much faith in a doctor in relation to diabetes.
Have you ever had an HbA1c test and if so what were the results?Hey guys
My fasting bloods are anywhere from low 5.6 to 6. The occasional carb heavy treat a bit higher.
(I really think it’s dawn phenomenon)
My 2 hours post meal is always below 7.8.
my last hba1c was 5.4 last test.
Had done oral glucose test. Was in normal range.
It’s only my fasting that makes me think I am prediabetic. My dr says I’m not. Any thoughts??
Thanks
