Unbeliever said:Great news Defren. I am so pleased for you! A supportive GP is worth his/her weight in gold. Its not just for now but for the future.
I used to see an enlighened Gp . I really felt he was on my side. He was not the Diabetes specialist so it was sometimes a litle diffficult to see him when it was diabetes related but I managed it for 3 years.
Makes it harder to cope with what I have now as i have something to contrast it with.
What an enormous relief for you.
Lovely to hear success stories like yours and to know that there are still some GPs out there who have courage and integrity.
Well done.

Well done you!
Don't, whatever you do, tell us his name and address.....or he'll have a glut of new patients!

There are no words that can say how much I appreciate all you have done to help me. Thank you is so inadequate.
Defren said:You, xxy and BF have been my biggest supporters, helpers and saviours. It is you three along with Jeanne who have given me the support and kick when I needed it. That along with all the others who have offered advice and support along the way. I owe this forum so much, and I mean that. Thank you Grazer. Now mop the tears wet wool smells something awful

Keep it up! or rather, down, for weight & BGs  It gives you a real incentive to carry on, doesn't it?
