Remember the serpent, Eve and the forbidden fruit? Poor old Adam, exiled to toil on earth and eventually return to the dust and yet we are still told, an apple a day keeps the doctor at bay. Apples put the Fear of God into him thats why :lol:

But it's better than a packet of crisps, bag of chips or a MacDonalds. Green apples are one of a number of fruits/foods which either delay absorbtion of glucose into the blood or improve insulin sensitivity and thus lower BG levels. These things are short term though which is why you hear things like an apple a day, or a teaspoon of cider vinegar a day and so on. It's just part of a healthy diet. There are some truths in these things, but it is important to keep a sense of proportion.
