I was told a couple of months ago that I was pre-diabetic (having another A1c next month). I went very hard on low carb and also started walking a lot - from a base of effectively zero I'm now at between 5 - 6 miles a day walking.

I've done low carb before, lost a lot of weight, let it slip and put most of the weight back on.

A few weeks ago - after seeing it mentioned in one of the forums on here - I got myself some 100% Montezuma chocolate, the orange flavour one. I've had a couple of pieces of it and fancied some last night. It no longer tastes bitter. I mean, I know taste changes when you cut out/limit carbs, especially sweet ones, but that's the first time I've really noticed it.

A few macadamia nuts and a square of chocolate and that was fine for me. Makes a change from the handful of chocolate digestives/couple of slices of toast type snack I would have gone for even a few months ago. This stuff works, and it works amazingly quickly..

I do the 100% Montezuma Dark and Lidl 95% (when I am cheaping out).

Glad you posted the change in taste. I now find 85% too sweet.

This change goes across the food spectrum. Sweet to savoury is definitely better all round.

My choccie of choice is Lindt but I have to say that you are right about taste, because the 85% that I have as a rule is suddenly getting 'sweeter'? I may have to move to the 90% :D
