Anyone got one? Any good?

I'm going to a black tie event and usually wear hold-ups and pop the pump in the top. However this time I'm wearing peep-toe shoes so can't wear the hold ups. Need a reliable alternative for on leg as event includes dinner. My dress is short.

Perhaps try some tubi grip?

Take it off and go with a pen instead, then put it back on when you get home.

If the dress has big sleeves of at least elbow length you can use an ipod jogging arm holder. You will have to go somewhere if you want to bolus discreetly with the pump. Unless you can master the "audible bolus" feature with the pump set to vibrate.

What about wearing a garter on you leg?
M&S do "bare leg" tights that aren't noticeable around the toe. Might be worth seeing if a hold up version of those is available. What style is the dress?

Thank you for all the suggestions! I don't want to come off pump as not very confident about controlling my BG back on the pen but using a pen for the bolus might be an option. I'd have to go to the loo to inject though (too shy to do it at table).

The dress is sleeveless so no option to wear anything on the arm. I'm not sure if the pump will fit on the bra but the dinner is for my husband's work and I don't know anyone so grabbing in my bra for the pump might not give the best impression!! Also might not even be able to wear a bra - need to check that out.

@Hooked I already checked to see about Marks as it's heir hold ups I wear and they hold the pump in great. Then I normally slip the pump out under the table to bolus. They do the open toe things you mention but only in tights :( Think there isn't much call for toeless hold ups. The dress is a short strapless one which flares out slightly below the waist - perfect for not showing a pump bulge lol

Last time I had to wear pump like this I tried a garter and the pump jumped off and I had to catch it. Looked like I'd given birth in the hotel lobby!! I've also tried spnax but the pump slides out of the leg part. Might have to try a tubigrip

Times like this I wish I'd got a remote!!!

Tubigrip might be a good option by the sounds of things. Sorry, I'm giggling at the thought of your giving birth to a pump in the lobby.

Have taken the plunge and ordered a thigh thing as it has pocket so pump can't slip through (which happened with tubigrip) and will see how that goes. If it's pants then at least I can use that other site to get something better!! Thank you @Hooked :)

What if one of the pump's many alarms goes off in the middle of something like mine did repeatedly in the middle of a bloody business meeting yesterday?

Two other suggestions:

(i) If your dress has those hanging loop things on it and you have a clip for your Vibe, you may be able to just clip the pump to the hanging loop on one side. I've done this before with a relatively tight-fitting dress and the loop basically stopped the pump from slipping down while the fit of the dress stopped it from moving around - the pump just sat at my side (bit of a bulge, but behind my arm so not really noticeable).

(ii) You could put the pump in a spibelt and wear around your waist.

Both options do mean bolusing in the ladies rather than at the table, as you need to fish around to retrieve your pump.

Probably too late to order for you now, but I just remembered this website, with some cool things to cover up your pump whilst looking femine and fashionable.

(I actually got the idea from there to crochet a big flower onto some elastic to go around my pump for wearing it on trousers. But I rarely go for the femine look, so rarely actually use it.)

Well after paying £18 to Animas for a thigh thing which was supposed to arrive next day I had a complete nightmare with the courier not turning up to deliver it. To cut a long story short because of this Animas sent me out another thigh thing and a calf thing as I had run out of time for options if the thigh thing was too big. Well it was massively too big and started slipped down my thigh right away. Luckily I had the calf thing and used that on the thigh and it worked perfectly!! So be careful if you have slim legs like me as the thigh one will be too big.
