The snippet below is from a July 2017 article:

“Dr Campbell Murdoch is a GP in Somerset, RCGP clinical advisor and Public Health England physical activity clinical champion.”
“I am seeing astonishing results in patients with type 2 diabetes who themselves chose to reduce their dietary carbohydrate intakes. Having seen the results, and after many hours of research to understand the physiology better, I believe it would be unacceptable for me not to offer advice on using a ‘low-carb’ diet to patients with type 2 diabetes.”

Interesting though that even though some doctors are now realising low cab is better for diabetics they still do not recommend higher saturated fat but say go for the good oils avocados and nuts route which many of us prefer to do anyway

That’s probably because they are already going up against NICE guidelines in suggesting low carb... proper fat too might be seen as a bit too far at the start..

I don't loose weight when fat added to my meals. Maybe others too. I don't remove fat off bacon thou but remove chicken skins. Only once I stopped cream, cheese, nuts and chicjen skin did I start losing weight on low carb.
We are all different but haven't come across anyone who hasnt reduced bgs on kow carb any variation of fats.
