I have found out to my cost that hot weather can effect my diabetes quite dramatically. Diagnosed diabetic 3yrs ago (type 2 diet only) but not been this hot since diagnosed. The temp in my van (cab) regularly hits 130 degrees F during the day and I spend 60% of the day in it. No air con just wind down windows. I found advice (on line) that says avoid working in hot weather , easier said than done.(any tips welcome on how to cope with temps) I am not a lover of rabbit food (salad) what is best to eat during hot spells for a lunch. I am taking 3-6 ltrs of chilled water a day during the hot spell and trying to eat my main meal in the eve.(any advice on what best to eat during these hot spells for lunch accepted gratefully)iand64
