Hi I’ve been using organic cider vinegar every morning and chia seeds before every meal and I’m absolutely amazed as my BG is 5 almost all the time and have stopped 2 metformin every day and now just take one a day, is this a fluke?

I don't know what ACV is. But chia seeds might not be a fluke, they're very high in fibre. They also have a high amount of omega-3. So if you you like them, why not?

Apple cider Vinegar is AVC. I will definitely be taking both now always. And Lidl does huge bag chia seeds for £1.20 so stocked up!!!

Hi there. I've been taking 1tbs of ACV before meals and flax seeds with spinnach and a splash of balsamic vinegar. Stupid question but how do you take the chia seeds?
Thanks Christine

They are useful for baking, and as they absorb so much moisture they can be pulverized and used to make a sort of jam if mixed with fresh fruit and kept refrigerated. Make a small pot at a time, and make sure everything is really clean, I used to sterilize utensils and pots using the tablets from wine making and got minimal mould.

@Ellabella1 - I don't think it is a fluke. A few weeks ago I started drinking half a glass of water with 1 tsp of ACV just prior to my main meal of the day. I have seen relatively consistent post-prandial BG levels which are a little lower than the trend of the few weeks prior. My individual experience is not too scientific, but recently on another thread a forum member posted some research that suggested acetic vinegar does indeed lower BG.

Be careful with ACV.
it is very acidic, so it will gently dissolve your teeth, if you allow it to stay in your mouth for long.
my suggestion is to rinse your mouth with water immediately after the ACV, or just eat your meal.
Never have it at the end of eating.

Hi Christine I add a tablespoon to Greek yogurt and few blueberries every morning, and I take AVC before meals as well. I make flaxseed bread ( such as easy recipe) so get flaxseeds that way. Hope that helps. Debbie

There's a nutrition expert on Youtube by the name of Ryan Taylor who says to drink it through a straw, I wondered why but this could be it! I've got both items in my cupboard but forget to participate in them. Very good for the gut biome. Oh yes i forgot, always before a meal to help digestion (cider vinegar)
