Any help 24 weeks pregnant and ketones

H I'm 24 weeks tomorrow and on Sunday night I had sickness saw my DNS yest she tested for ketones and was fine , today I've been fine until this afternoon I started vomiting again just tested my ketones and they are reading 1mmol it says to retest in an hour in the mean time any advice? Should I put it down to pregnancy sickness or that I'm going ketonic ? Also would I call labour triage or out of hours thanks
 
I would either call out of hours or head to hospital.

Always better to be on the safe side, even more so when pregnant.

Thanks I called triage they want to moniter me at home and call to go up if I get worse
 
How is your blood sugar? Is it ok?

You did the right thing phoning triage. Always best to check. I had ketones after sickness during pregnancy and got quite freaked out, but they were put down to 'starvation' and I was told to try to eat something. Obviously, that's not so easy when you're sick!

Keep testing for ketones and keep testing your blood sugar too. I'm sure you'll be fine and it's just a case of monitoring things, but if you're at all concerned phone triage again.

I ended up in hospital for two nights got out this afternoon my ketones were high and I was going into dka so had to go on fluids glucose and sliding scale but much better today thanks for messages x
 
I'm glad you're feeling a bit better now. That must have been stressful having to go into hospital. I hope you're taking it easy and are feeling ok.
