First appointment with the nurse was not exactly a success. I will not be defeated however..... Really want to make my diagnosis a new start of healthy eating and exercise to manage this as best I can, and make sure my child doesn't follow in my footsteps. As the nurse was about as much help as a chocolate fire guard it's down to me to find the best way. Can anyone recommend some helpful reading material to compliment the excellent info on the site please? I am a vegetarian so some tips on good things to eat would also be much appreciated. Thanks

Both the above, and depending on which eating plan you to choose to follow - my bibles have been - The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living by Jeff Volek and Stephen Phinney and Low Carb High Fat Food Revolution by Andreas Eenfeldt.

Happy Reading!

Check out the low carb vegetarian threads in the low carb forum too. There is a wonderful recipe thread :)

Also Celia Brooke's recipe book " Gluten Free Low Carb "
