Any recommended reading please?

First appointment with the nurse was not exactly a success. I will not be defeated however..... Really want to make my diagnosis a new start of healthy eating and exercise to manage this as best I can, and make sure my child doesn't follow in my footsteps. As the nurse was about as much help as a chocolate fire guard it's down to me to find the best way. Can anyone recommend some helpful reading material to compliment the excellent info on the site please? I am a vegetarian so some tips on good things to eat would also be much appreciated. Thanks

Dr Trudi Deakins book is a good place to start, full of info on diabetes & meal plans you can adapt to your way of eating, also recipes to accompany the meal plans.
